Introducing The 2019 Chevrolet Silverado

Each year, we eagerly await the newest model of Chevrolet’s most popular truck—the Silverado. The new 2019 version is sure to impress with the most functional bed of any full-size truck and class-leading cargo volume. The new Silverado is also offering a higher-grade steel construction to boost strength and provide more durability.

“Truck customers told us they depend on their trucks for much more than just transportation. Many use their trucks to earn a paycheck, or to do what they enjoy most when they’re off the clock. Given how important trucks are to our customers, we set a lofty goal for exceeding the dependability and longevity of the current Silverado,” said Tim Herrick, Executive Chief Engineer of Full-Size Trucks for Chevrolet.

Chevrolet Makes A Difference

Chevrolet is a brand that tirelessly strives to make a difference and lend a helping hand to those in need. For the past eight years, Chevrolet has served as the official vehicle of the Army-Navy Game. This year, while the Army-Navy game was taking place, Former General Motors Chairman and CEO, Dan Akerson, presented a Chevrolet Traverse to Shawn Moore and her family.

At the game, Mrs. Moore was recognized for her work as an Operation Homefront Hearts of Valor group facilitator and her dedication as a caregiver to her husband Bryan, a United States Army veteran who was medically retired after 7 tours and 23 years of service. The Operation Homefront’s Hearts of Valor program honors the service and sacrifice of the people who care for our nation’s wounded, ill or injured warriors and provides a supportive community for them. With more than 6,000 veterans employed at General Motors and more than 50,000 General Motors retirees who are veterans, General Motors and Chevrolet are proud to help those who have given so much to their country.

“It is so important for us to honor the families of our military service members who are so often confronted with the lifelong care of our wounded veterans. Recognizing Shawn Moore and the exceptional care that she is providing for her husband, Bryan, is a small way for GM and Chevrolet to bring attention to the vital role organizations like Operation Homefront play in the daily support of our military families,” said Dan Akerson, former chairman and CEO of General Motors.

We are honored to represent a brand such as Chevrolet that is constantly giving back to the community.

Chevrolet Reveals The Main Causes Of Stress On A Road Trip

The holidays are here, which means it’s the height of road-trip season! Family road trips can be a stressful time, especially for parents. Recently, a new survey was conducted by Harris Poll on behalf of Chevrolet that reveals the major stressors of road trips.

Perhaps surprisingly, keeping kids entertained and hearing the constant nagging question of “Are we there yet?” were ranked lower on the list than the frustration of traffic. As traffic levels are projected to increase during the upcoming travel season, parents indicated that in-vehicle technologies can improve the family road trip experience by making gridlock more bearable.

“The vehicle is the new family dinner table, where memories are created and bonds grow strong. As families prepare to hit the road this holiday to spend time with friends and family, they can depend on crossovers like the 2018 Chevrolet Traverse and Equinox to meet their needs, from storage space to USB outlets, available 4G LTE Wi-Fi and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility,” said Steve Majoros, Director of Marketing for Chevrolet Cars and Crossovers.

Chevrolet Releases Luke Bryan Inspired Suburban

Chevrolet partnered with country-music star Luke Bryan to design a Suburban SUV appropriate for “huntin’, fishin’ and lovin’ every day.” He said, “Chevy has been part of our family and a part of our work life on the farm for as long as I can remember. If you were a Bryan, you drove a Chevy — and I’m a longtime Suburban owner. This partnership is a natural fit for me and this unique Suburban represents everything I and my family want for our outdoor adventures.” Chevrolet explains, “Like other regular-production 2018 Suburban models, Bryan’s concept is powered by a direct-injected 5.3L V-8, rated at 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque, that’s backed by a six-speed automatic transmission. The 5.3L engine is part of the classic Chevrolet Small Block family that’s delivered proven power and dependability for more than 60 years. The Suburban also features a locking rear differential for sure-footed traction in the outdoors and an 8,000-pound trailering rating (4WD with NHT Max Trailering Package).”
